CLASSES I TEACH

7TH GRADE AMERICAN HISTORY: The class will examine the history of the United States from early colonial times to the changing role of the United States through the early 1900's. There will be an emphasis on the everyday lives, problems, and accomplishments of people and their role in developing the political, social, and economic structures in the U.S. 

9TH GRADE WORLD HISTORY: The class will analyze and examine historical eras of world history to determine connections and cause/effect relationships in reference to chronology. They will also evaluate and examine the interactions of world cultures, civilizations, philosophies, and religions.

7TH and 8TH GRADE HEALTH: The class will provide information and skills young people need to make healthy choices. It will help them realize that the choices they adopt now are connected to their health and quality of life in the present as well as the future. 

8TH GRADE CIVICS: The course will help students understand their rights and responsibilities of being an American citizen by describing ways individuals participate in the political process. We will also examine the political and judicial systems of the national and state governments.

8TH GRADE CIVICS ASSIGNMENTS: TOP

Mon. Feb. 8	Do study guide over chapter 12. Test on Tuesday.
Tues. Feb. 9	Take test over chapter 12. Correct and go over test.
Wed. Feb. 10	Write a paragraph explaining two things that you have learned in civics. Have students share their writings.
Thurs. Feb. 11	Introduce chapter 13 and read section 1.
Fri. Feb. 12	No school.

7TH GRADE HISTORY ASSIGNMENTS:  TOP

Mon. Feb. 8	Read section 1 of chapter 12 and do guided reading worksheet over section 1.
Tues. Feb. 9	Discuss reading assignment and go over guided reading. Read sections 2 and 3.
Wed. Feb. 10	Take notes over reading assignment and read section 4.
Thurs. Feb. 11	Discuss reading assignment.
Fri. Feb. 12	No school.

9TH GRADE WORLD HISTORY ASSIGNMENTS:   TOP

Tues. Feb. 9	Do study guide over chapter 17. Test on Wednesday.
Wed. Feb. 10	Take test over chapter 17. Correct and go over test.
Thurs. Feb. 11	Show video to introduce the chapter on the French Revolution.
Fri. Feb. 12	No school.

Mon. Feb. 8	Do lesson quizzes over chapter 12.
Tues. Feb. 9	Correct lesson quizzes and review for test. Test on Wednesday.
Wed. Feb. 10	Take test over chapter 12. Correct and go over test.
Thurs. Feb. 11	Read Current Health magazine.
Fri. Feb. 12	No school.
